Ignatieff hurt by Toronto Star photograph?

You be the judge. Today the Toronto Star published this image captured by photographer Rob Bull. It ran under the headline : The Glamour of the Federal Election Campaign.

The photograph features our Next Face candidate Michael Ignatieff shaking hands with a constituent at the entrance to a subway station in his Etobicoke-Lakeshore riding during the campaign, while less than 3 metres away a man relieves himself in plain view. Certainly the decision to run this photograph (which takes up half of the back page) doesn't help the prospective candidate, and could - according to Next Face - possibly hurt the new MP's chances in the run up to the leadership race.

It just doesn't look Prime Ministerial.
Ignatieff's odds fall today from 6:1 to 7:1.

It does not look bad on Michael Ignatieff. Ruther it looks bad on Star. From the picture it appears that the two characters are in shadow zone for the each other and one has nothing to do with each other.

You are likely correct on both counts. Still it is not the most flattering photograph.
